Assistant terms
Read-only research support, with clear limits.
Effective 10 August 2026. These plain-language product terms describe the Qubits Finance assistant and supplement the privacy notice.
What the assistant is
- The Qubits Finance assistant is an optional, read-only decision-support feature for approved accounts. It explains data returned by Qubits research, portfolio, quote and daily-brief tools.
- It is not a financial adviser, broker, tax agent or portfolio manager. It does not tell you what to buy or sell, place orders, move money or guarantee an outcome.
Data and provider processing
- Your question and the minimum necessary, account-authorized tool results may be sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. Qubits keeps the provider key on the server and does not give it to your browser.
- Qubits does not store the assistant conversation, answer, audio or transcript. OpenAI's current API data controls and abuse-monitoring terms apply to provider processing; Qubits does not make a zero-retention or New Zealand data-residency promise.
Limits, freshness and responsibility
- Answers are limited by the data sources, dates, prices and account permissions shown in the response. Cached prices are not live prices. You are responsible for checking source dates and making your own decisions.
- The feature has bounded daily requests and provider spend. Qubits may refuse a request when data, authorization, provider availability or the budget boundary is unavailable.
Voice, access and withdrawal
- If voice is enabled for your account, microphone permission is requested only after you start a time-limited session. Qubits does not record or store the session. You can stop a session, clear the browser conversation, or revoke connected assistant access from Account settings.
- Qubits may disable or limit assistant access to protect data, budgets or service reliability. Contact info@qubits.co.nz for access, privacy or security questions.
- For support, share the approximate time, route and visible error or request ID only. Do not email holdings exports, account numbers, API keys, OAuth codes, microphone recordings or other private financial data.
